Our Journey Together

A place for you that feels like home.

As people of faith, we are called upon in our everyday lives to bring the transforming love of Christ into this world. The life of faith is a journey we go on together. Our role as a church is to help each other through this journey. As we travel the path together, God’s love shows in our actions and in the way we reach out to the community.

Areas of focus: Love God, Love People, Serve Others.  These are not only ministry areas, but steps along the journey.

Our Values

Love god

Love God is about discovering God in your life. No matter where you go, or where you’ve been, God’s love is there for you.  It’s amazing what can happen when you begin to make that discovery in your life. These activities can help you connect or re-connect with the God who created you.

love people

Love People is about sharing God. Once you have discovered the presence of God in your life, we seek to learn more about his presence and love. Surround yourself with others who seek to include God in their lives. This learning can come from discussions, study groups, small group gatherings, and church activities that provide an opportunity to talk about the influence God can have in your life.

serve others

Serve Others is about loving and supporting others. The more you learn about God in your life, the more you feel the need to reach out to those who are around you. We do not often realize the opportunities we have everyday to make a difference in someone’s life. These activities are focused on our community, our nation, and our world.

Stewardship & Generosity

Stewardship is to serve as one who manages another’s property, finances or other affairs, and is not just a means for the church to raise money.

It is a way of life that recognizes that everything we have is God’s, and we are simply managing those resources while here on earth. The Bible is filled with examples of grateful response to God’s generous gifts.

The Methodist approach to stewardship from John Wesley urged those in connection with him to “Earn all you can and save all you can, so that you can give all you can.” He modeled modest living and sacrificial giving. Wesley made sure those early classes of “methodists” took weekly offerings for outreach.  United Methodists join others to help all of God’s children…whenever and wherever we can. Just as Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes when the crowd grew hungry. Through our congregation, we are the heart, spirit and hands of God’s outreaching love.
